Hedland ERA is a design and construction contract which delivered a 48 bed facility in South Hedland at the Pilbara Institute Pundulmurra Campus. The modular buildings are designed to expand to 68 beds in the future as and when demand requires. The facility aims to boost the rate of Indigenous employment in the Pilbara by providing accessible accommodation and support services to local apprentices and trainers. This project is a great example of the benefits of using a modular construction method, providing an attractive and functional accommodation option in short time as well as offering an ability to quickly increase bed numbers in the future if required.
